Your school-awarded mark for this course will be determined according to the following breakdown:

Please note that assessment for learning is an important part of our course. Assessment for learning allows you and me to check how well you understand a concept before you reach a graded assessment. It's the tasks where it's safe to make mistakes without losing marks.

The Check-Up Questions  and the Practice Questions are assessment for learning questions. They are not for marks and will not influence your grade directly, however choosing not do them will negatively impact your mark on graded assessments, since you need to make sure you are understanding concepts before you reach your graded assignments.

To earn the highest possible grade for this course, make sure you always submit your best work on graded assessments:

• Assignments
  Each lesson has a graded assignment called "Explore Your Understanding."
  At the end of each unit, there will be a "Final Review Assignment."
  ***All assignments for a unit must be completed and graded before you will be given the password for the Unit Quiz.***
  
  
• Quizzes
  At the end of each unit, there is a quiz.
  You will be given immediate access to the Unit Quiz once each of the assignments in the unit have a grade of at least 40%.
  
  
• Midterm Exam
  The midterm exam covers Units 1 to 4 
  
  
• Final Exam
  The final exam covers Units 1 to 8, with higher emphasis on units 5 - 8.
