Resources and Calculator Guides

Mathematics 10C Approved Resources

  • The Alberta Education approved resource for Mathematics 10C is McGraw-Hill Ryerson Mathematics 10.
  • You will also need a graphing calculator for this course. For Units 1 to 5, you can likely make do with a scientific calculator, but for Units 6 to 8, you will need a graphing calculator. It is best to get a graphing calculator sooner so you can learn the functions on it early on.

Many students use the Texas Instruments TI-83/TI-84 series of calculators; however, other calculators are acceptable.

The official list of approved calculators can be found on the Alberta Education website here.  The list of Alberta Education approved calculators for diploma exams is updated annually.  You need to have an Alberta Education approved calculator for your exams in this course. If you are unsure, please contact your teacher.
