This investigation allows you to create some referents that you can use in your day-to-day life to estimate measurements. You will need a ruler that has SI units, another one with imperial units or one that has both. A cut-out ruler can be found at the
end of the
Unit 1 Appendix.
Complete the following table by thinking of a common object or a body part that can be used to estimate each unit. If you are unfamiliar with a unit, try entering it into a search engine to learn more about it.
