Lesson 2.2 Volume of 3-D Objects

Lesson 2.2 video link here.

Volume has many real-life applications. For example, pipelines are important to the oil and gas industries in Alberta. Knowing the volume of a pipeline helps engineers determine how much oil the pipeline can move. Lesson 2.2 will focus on the volume of 3-D objects.

In Lesson 2.2, you will learn how to

  • find the volume of right prisms, right cylinders, right cones, right pyramids, and spheres

  • determine the missing dimension of a right prism, right cylinder, right cone, right pyramid, or sphere when given the volume and the other dimensions
