Lesson 6.3: Linear Relations

Lesson 6.3 video link here. (Video under development)

Linear means straight, direct, or undeviating. A set of related data arranged in a straight line is called a linear relation. For a moving vehicle, the relationship between distance travelled and time is linear if the speed of the vehicle is constant. In Lesson 6.3, linear relations will be explored.

In Lesson 6.3, you will learn about

  • graphing linear relations given a table of values, a given situation, or an equation

  • determining whether a graph, a table of values, or a situation represents a linear relation

  • the relationship between rate of change and the slope of a line
