Essential Question: What Does It Mean to Live Well?

Several questions will frame your work throughout the course.  You will be prompted to consider these questions while studying a variety of texts.  You do not need to respond to them at this moment, but they are explained below for your future reference. 

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE WELL?

This is the main question around which the entire course is designed.  The texts you encounter in the course will demonstrate different ideas about what living well means.  Some texts will explore living well in the workplace; others will look at living well when it comes to the home or family.  At times, you will find yourself disagreeing with the characters or authors about what living well means, and that is exactly the point.  You might also find that your ideas about living well change throughout the course.  The question about what it means to live well is a complex one.  Take a few moments to watch this powerful video about what living well means to bestselling author Steve Maraboli.
