You are about to begin your reading of the play Selfie. Although the play is just 31 pages long, a great deal happens in those 31 pages. You are following eight characters during some of the most intense and significant moments of their lives.
Therefore, it is important that you read actively, engaging with the characters, understanding their struggles, and learning from their experiences.

Taking some simple but meaningful notes as you study the play will encourage you to be an active reader. (You will receive a note-taking sheet in just a moment.) These notes will help you keep details about the characters straight in your mind. On the next page, you will submit these notes for marks, and you will then be able to use these notes on your 3.2 Selfie Quiz (which is for marks), as well as all of the assignments in this unit.
Be sure to keep your note-taking sheet handy as you read. You will find this assignment much more manageable if you take notes as you go, rather than relying on your memory after you have read the play.
