Again, I chose to stay with the official movie website because I think the information there will be most reliable. I also liked how they provided a profile for the main characters of the film, rather than listing absolutely everyone. I don’t think I need to know the names of all the extras in the movie. On the website, they should be clearer by listing the name of the character with the actor name to make it easier to identify them. I had to do an extra web search to figure out who played which role. I think they assume that you have already seen the movie.

Ben Stiller plays Walter Mitty, the protagonist of the film. Ben Stiller has been nominated for Best Lead Actor for the Independent Spirit Award. I saw him in Night at the Museum, Meet the Fockers, and Dodgeball. He was hilarious in all of them. I didn’t know that Stiller was involved in so much charity work. There’s a long list on the website.

Adam Scott plays Ted Hendricks, Walter Mitty’s antagonist in the film. Adam Scott stars in an Emmy-nominated comedy called Parks and Recreation. The website says that the show is a comedy, and I wonder if he’ll be funny in this film too. I haven’t seen him in any of the movies they listed on the website.

In The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Sean Penn plays Sean O’Connell, a photographer for LIFE magazine. I chose Sean Penn as the third actor to describe because he has won some major awards. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a movie called Dead Man Walking and for I am Sam. Sean Penn also won an Academy Award for Mystic River. I think Sean Penn might be more of a serious actor.
