Mary Pinkoski Bio

Mary Pinkoski is an award-winning spoken word poet and Edmonton’s current Poet Laureate. In 2013, she placed third at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Championship, making her the top female of the competition. In 2011, she won the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word national slam championship as captain of the Edmonton slam team and was voted Most Valuable Poet. In 2008, she was the winner of the national CBC Poetry Face-off. When not performing across North America, Pinkoski leads workshops for youth and adults.
