Perspective is an important consideration in life as well as in viewing images.

People can feel happy about an event in their lives, but feel differently if the perspective of others causes them to rethink it.


A Tangled Web addresses this issue.

A Tangled Web is not a story, but a script from a real TV show. Browse through the selection on pages 107 to 117 of Literacy in Action, noticing how a script is written.

Read through the script on pages 107 to 117 of Literacy in Action, thinking about how Francine's feelings about her fun video change because of the perspectives of others.


As you read through the script, make a list of effective verbs you find in the selection. List them in the Reader's Notebook: A Tangled Web.

Answer the section of questions entitled During Reading in the Reader's Notebook: A Tangled Web.
Answer the last section of questions in the Reader's Notebook: A Tangled Web.


Save

How to save a file:


  1. Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
  2. Name your Reader's Notebook: A Tangled Web in this format: jsmith_tangledweb and save the file to your Documents folder.
