In this activity, you will:


  • Download the Summarizing Template and use it to add the following information:

    • Rephrase in your own words the headings you identified as you read the selection and add these new headings to the Summarizing Template.

    • Add key ideas from your list under the new headings on the Summarizing Template.

  1. Download the document Summarizing Template.
  2. IMPORTANT NOTE: When the download screen opens:
      • Click the "Open with" button.
      • Select "Adobe Reader".
      • Click "OK".
      • You will then be able to view the document Summarizing Template.

Save

How to save a file:

  1. Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
  2. Name your Summarizing Template in this format: jsmith_summarizing and save the file to your Documents folder.
