  • identify keywords to help you search for information
  • locate information in books, magazines, and on the Internet
  • find out when the information was written to make sure it is up to date



Activity

Imagine that you are researching the Mars Rover.


Here are some tips to help you do an effective keyword search about the Mars Rover:


  • Using the keyword Mars will give you many resources choices. To narrow your search and find resources about Mars Rover, use two keywords: Mars Rover.
  • To decrease the number of hits you find during your search and find only current information, change your search to Mars Rover 2007.

It is important to look for quality resources. To locate quality resources on the Internet, do a keyword search.
