What Can I Learn from Realistic Fiction?


Vocabulary Word Wall

In this unit, you will learn words that are related to the reading and writing of stories and you will also learn new words as you read the novel that you have chosen.

Turn to Unit 5, Stories of Our Lives, on pages 64 and 65 in Literacy in Action 6B. New vocabulary words related to this unit are in the green textbox on page 65.


The Unit 5 Vocabulary Word Wall includes the following six words that are elements of a fictional story or narrative.

  1. realistic fiction
  2. character
  3. plot
  4. point of view
  5. narrator
  6. setting


Add an image and sentence that conveys the meaning of each word to your Word Wall chart.

You will add additional vocabulary words, images/pictures, definitions, and sentences to the Vocabulary Word Wall as you work throughout the unit.

Save

How to save a file:


  1. Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
  2. Name your Unit 5 Vocabulary Word Wall file in this format: jsmith_unit5wordwall and save the file to your Documents folder.

You will not submit your Vocabulary Word Wall.
