Vocabulary Word Wall
In this unit, you will learn words that are related to exploration and connections to the past.
Turn to Unit 6, Exploring Canada, on pages 124 and 125 of the Literacy in Action 6B. New vocabulary words related to this unit are in the green textbox on page 125.
Now, you will begin working on your Unit 6 Vocabulary Word Wall.
The Unit 6 Vocabulary Word Wall has these words added to it to begin the unit. For this part of the lesson, you will add images and sentences to these six words. The sentences you write must convey the meaning of the words.
- Aboriginal peoples
- early contact
- cooperation
- conflict
- adventure
- quest
Add an image and sentence that conveys the meaning of each word to your Word Wall chart.
You will add additional vocabulary words, images/pictures, definitions, and sentences to the Vocabulary Word Wall as you work throughout the unit.
