Hamburger Paragraph Model

You may think of a paragraph as a hamburger.


 

  • The top bun is your topic sentence. 
  • The sentences that come next are the supporting details, the meat, tomatoes, lettuce, and pickle. 
  • Holding it all together is the bottom bun of the hamburger. 
  • The conclusion should be interesting and perhaps connect to the next paragraph if you have a double or triple-decker hamburger.
