In this lesson, you will compare four tall tales in the forms of a short story, an oral retelling, a ballad, and a short film. Then you will imagine a tall tell of your own.
A tall tale has
- a main character that is larger than life
- a character who has large problems that are solved in a funny or amazing way
- many exaggerated details
- a narrator who uses everyday language or slang
