Reflect on Your Reading: Summarizing Activity

Recall the Lost and Found Activity that you completed in Lesson 1.


On the chart you answered key questions to explain in detail about your special object.

These questions are often called the 5Ws and H and are used often when gathering information for report writing.

You also thought of additional interesting details that you could add to the information.

The reading selections about explorers that you completed answered these key questions.

You are going to complete a summarizing activity in which you will focus on these key questions while thinking about and reviewing the selections you read.
