Unit 6

What Are Our Connections to the Past?

Activity

Cause and Effect

Now, think about cause and effect.

  • Make a cause and effect web for both The Search for the Northwest Passage and the selection you read. Use information in your Early Adventurers Summary Chart for your web.
  • Think about these questions as you make the cause and effect web:
    • What caused the exploration that you read about? (cause)
    • Why was this exploration important for Canada? (effect)
  • Use the Making a Web online tool to make your cause and effect web.
