Your first assignment is to begin working on a Courage Concept Map.

  • A Concept Map is a graphic organizer that is an easy way of collecting and organizing ideas and information about any topic.
  • You will be adding to, and saving your Courage Concept Map as you work through this unit.
  • You will submit your Courage Concept Map to your teacher near the end of this unit.

  • Begin by entering the word COURAGE in the centre box of your concept map.
  • Now enter the words Mountain Climbers in the first box extending from the centre.
  • What words, phrases, or definitions about courage did you think of when you viewed the pictures of the mountain climbers?
  • Enter these words on the boxes extending from the Mountain Climbers box.
  • Now enter the words Courage Song in a second box extending from the centre word COURAGE.
  • What words, phrases, or definitions about courage did you think of when you listened to the “Courage Song”?
  • Now enter these words in the bubbles extending from the Courage Song box.
Be sure to title and save your Unit 1 Courage Concept Map to your documents folder on your computer.
