Authors or designers have three purposes for creating a story, poster, or
image:
- To Persuade: sometimes the author wants to convince the reader of a certain point of view.
- To Inform: sometimes the author thinks something is important and wants to share it with others.
- To Entertain: sometimes the author just wants to create something that is fun for readers to enjoy.
To help you remember these three purposes for creating a story, poster or image, think of the first letters of each word that spell “PIE”.
