Make your own timeline.
You are going to make a timeline of important events in your life. Ask your parents to help you.
- Start with your birth date. Write the year, month, and day, and add a photo of yourself if you wish.
- Then, choose five events in your life that were important.

when you took your first steps, learned to talk or ride a bike, first day of school, won a competition, best day of your life, etc.

- Download the document Timeline Template.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: When the download screen opens:
- Click the "Open with" button.
- Select "Adobe Reader".
- Click "OK".
- You will then be able to view the document Timeline Template.

Save your timeline and then submit it following the instructions below.

Save
How to save a file for submission:
- Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
- Select your Documents folder as the location to Save In.
- Name the document. You will always name your documents in a similar way.
- Use the first letter of your first name, followed by your last name, then an underscore (_), then the name of the file.
- In this case, the file name is Creating Timelines. For example, if my name is John Smith, I would name my file jsmith_creatingtimelines.
- Click Save. Your chart is in your Documents folder.
- This Formative Assessment worksheet is similar to homework, which is an opportunity to practise important concepts in the lesson. The worksheet is NOT for marks.
- However, your teacher may ask you to submit this worksheet to check on your progress so be sure to save it in your Documents folder.
