U3-L1.1 Interview Questions
Completion requirements
Unit 3
Survivors!
Assessment (Formative)
Assessments for Hopping to the Rescue
You have two assessments:
- create questions that you would use for an interview with Gabrielle Felio
- read some ACC news on the Canaan Connexion website
Interview Questions
Gabrielle Felio is an interesting person who started a
conservation
organization that helped the
environment.
If you were a news reporter, you might be assigned to interview her. News reporters interview people so readers learn what is happening in their communities. For example, they would probably be very interested in learning about Gabrielle and the work her club has done to save the frogs. Interviewing Gabrielle would answer your readersβ questions about why she formed the club, what it does, and why Gabrielle is so interested in animal habitats. Hopping to the Rescue is also a very interesting story to read.

For This Assignment
- Pretend you are a reporter for a newspaper or TV station.
- Create a list of at least 5 or 6 interview questions that you could ask Gabrielle.
- Include questions about her organization, the Petrie Island frog rescue, and other events she has organized.
- Ask about awards she has won, and why she won them.
- Include a question about what other young people could do.
- Remember to think about answering the 5 W's through your questions.
