This reading tells the stories of four Canadian people, each of whom have done something important to help save habitats. When you read this selection
- you will use the reading strategy ask questions, pause and check, summarize
- you will think about the writing trait ideas and details
- you will add to your Habitat Chart
- you will learn about synonyms
- you will create a Superhero Cape for a deserving candidate.

Look through the reading selection, from page 132 to 135, noting the headings and illustrations.

Predict
Predict what you think each section of the reading is about.

Remember to use the ask questions, pause and reflect, summarize reading strategy as you read.
