Friends of the Blue Planet

In this lesson, you will read pages 146 to 149 of Literacy in Action 4A.

You may already know that “The Blue Planet” is Earth. If you didn’t, you could infer it from the picture on page 146.

This selection is a collection of writings, poems, and pictures by kids all over the world. They have one topic: how kids feel about our environment.

As you read through the entries, think about how you feel about the environment, and about our Big Question – How do people show they care about saving habitats?

When you are finished reading the entries, answer the questions on the Reader's Notebook: Friends Of The Blue Planet page.
