Game

Go to Writing Instructions to play a game to help you learn to write instructions.

In your Reader's Notebook worksheet, explain three places where you might find directions or similar pieces of writing. What reading strategy or strategies have you found to be helpful when you are reading?

Ask your parents or siblings for the necessary material to perform this trick.


Practise the trick and perform it for your family or friends. You may try the other trick on page 46 of Literacy in Action 4B as well.


Save

How to save a file:


  1. Have the file open and select Save As from the File menu.
  2. Name your Reader's Notebook: Abracadabra, A Chain of Clips! file in this format: jsmith_abracadabra and save the file to your Documents folder.
