Lesson 11

Something To Sing About

Click on the colored rows for more information about the assignment.

This selection is about a song that tells about Canadian places.

The first verse tells about places in the eastern part of Canada, and the second tells about the western part. The refrain (which is the chorus and is repeated) goes from coast to coast.

Turn to pages 152 and 153 in your Literacy in Action 4B book.

The question in this selection reads, "What does this song tell about Canada?"

The verses and the chorus of this song tell about some of the places that you see in Canada and where they are located.

Print out the Canada Map where you will write the places of locations that are near to the areas in the song.
