Fire Safety Standards


Why do we need fire safety standards?

When fire strikes, the potential for damage to people and property is incredibly high, and there is very little time to control or reduce the damage. When we implement safety standards, we increase the time available to respond to a fire, and control or reduce the damage.

 In case of fire, remember to REACT. 

  1. Remove those in immediate danger.
  2. Ensure all doors are closed.
  3. Activate the fire alarm (if available).
  4. Call 911 to report the location of the fire.
  5. Try to extinguish or control the fire.
