Ladder Materials


There are three types of ladders, classified according to the material from which they are made:

  • Aluminum - the most durable, but they are also very good conductors and are dangerous to use around electricity. Aluminum ladders are moderately expensive. 
  • Fiberglass - a combination of durability and non-conductivity, but they are also the most expensive. 
  • Wood - the least expensive, but they are also the least durable.
