1.3.6 Ideological Self Assessment
This activity deliberately stereotypes "left" and "right" ideology. The "right" represents greater individual freedom and responsibility with little protection of workers and consumers. The "left" represents a greater degree of equality and cooperation,
with greater concern for the well-being of the collective and a larger role for government.
In reality, most people will fall somewhere between the two extremes or edges of the spectrum. The purpose of this test is to allow you to assess your place on the political continuum. You are free to disagree with your results! Also, your place on the spectrum will likely shift as you learn more about different political and social issues.
