3.2.1 Spelling & Grammar Quiz
Completion requirements
This quiz is based on the materials reviewed on the previous
Time to Read page.
A note about quizzes:
Quizzes that are graded will have a mark that contributes to your overall grade. Therefore, it is important to ensure you are prepared for graded quizzes.
- Make a
note of the time limit you are given for the quiz. Be aware and prepared to sit
down and focus on the quiz in order to complete it in one sitting.
- Read
the instructions for each question carefully.
- All
quizzes, even graded ones, are "open-book". You are permitted to look at your textbooks
and other helpful articles while doing your quiz. Be aware of the time limit,
however, and ensure you are prepared and familiar with these materials before
beginning the quiz.
- If you
encounter technical issues, contact your teacher immediately and ask for
assistance. If you have issues understanding the instructions or requirements
of the question, contact your teacher.
- If you
have unreliable or sometimes unstable internet connection, you may wish to
record your answers for the quiz questions on a word document or piece of
paper. This ensures you have a back-up copy of your work, should there by any
issues submitting the quiz.
- When
your quiz is initially marked after it is completed, it is because Moodle has
an auto-grade feature. Sometimes this grade can look scary. Remember that your
marker will go over your quiz to mark the questions that the auto-grade cannot.
This will often alter your grade significantly, so do not panic until you see a
final grade. Like assignment marking, this second assessment by your marker can
take up to 2 business days.
