Completion requirements
In this assignment, choose a product (either real or imaginary) and create an advertisement for print, radio, or television to promote and sell the product.

You may use a computer or paper to complete this assignment.
When you are done, review for spelling and proper punctuation.
1. You can type your work directly into the assignment box on the next page by clicking the "add submission" button under the orange box at the bottom of this page.
2. If you typed your work in a separate Word document, save your document, and either send it to your teacher as an e-mail attachment or print it off and hand it in to your teacher so it can be marked.
3. You can also choose to complete a hand-written assignment on a piece of paper. If so, please hand in your assignment to your teacher so it can be marked.

Marking Guide:
In this assignment, choose a product (either real or imaginary) and create an advertisement for print, radio, or television to promote and sell the product.
If you are using a real product, be sure that you are creating original advertising for the product. If you copy something, you are guilty of plagiarism (theft of intellectual property!).

1. Brainstorm ideas.
2. Select the best idea.
3. When you are developing your ad, think of these questions from the lesson page:
1. What emotional or intellectual appeals might be effective in your ad?
2. What celebrity would be a good choice to endorse your product?
3. What claims should you make about your product?
4. What is a good name or catchy slogan you could use?
5. How should the ad look and/or sound?
6. Who is your target audience?
7. Where are you going to place the ad? Which magazine, TV show, etc. would draw your target audience?
