In this assignment, you will delve more deeply into the idea of character transformation as you complete a Scene Analysis of one scene that marks a pivotal point in your character’s transformation.

rubric again to see how you will be assessed on this assignment.
Step 2: Read Lola’s Scene Analysis (from the previous section of this unit) to see an example of this assignment. While Lola’s analysis focuses on Walter’s transformation in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, remember you must complete your analysis on the film you chose to study from the Approved Film List.
Step 3: Review your 4.3 Observation Chart for the film you chose and the feedback on the questions in your Independent Film Study Quiz to help you select which scene you will analyze.

Step 4: To help you plan your analysis of the pivotal scene, complete a 4.4 Scene Analysis Chart (in Word, Google doc, or PDF) for each stage in the character’s transformation— before, during, and after transformation. Refer back to the Elements of Film video, if needed. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO HAND IN THIS CHART.
