Module One Lessons: Drawing
7. Assignment 4: Perspective
Drawing in Perspective
Typically Art 10 students will demonstrate the ability to draw using 1 point perspective, Art 20s will be able to use 2 point, and Art 30s will use 3 point. Submit whichever of those is a comfortable starting point for you.
Assignment
1) Review this handout: Perspective Packet.
2) Optional: You may choose to print it, and do the worksheet style practice lessons in the package - they are not for marks but will help you a lot.
3) There are 3 youtube videos in this lesson - watch them.
4) Look at samples of student work HERE.
5) Complete a polished drawing of either a city scape, or a detailed exterior of your dream home and submit. If that's too easy, or if you have submitted one point perspective drawings in previous art classes, use 2 or 3 point perspective. Challenge yourself!
Art 30s with experience in this technique might even choose to complete a 4 or 5 point drawing- very tricky!
Use Pencil, Eraser, Ruler - adding colour or ink is not required, but is strongly encouraged.
