Saving Your Work

After you have successfully logged into the “The City” website in Project 1, there are two different ways to submit your work to your teacher. If you have been given a class code by your teacher, you will need to enter it by clicking on the “Join a Class” button. This will let you submit completed work to your teacher electronically. If your teacher does not have a class code, check with your teacher for specific instructions on how to save and submit your work for assessment. This may include creating a course folder for your assignments and work.

Watch the “Creating Folders” demonstration. This demonstration will show you how to create a folder on your desktop.

Student Expectations

To achieve success in this course, read all of the instructions and work through the material carefully. Remember, it’s the work and practice you do that will prepare you for the assignments that are assessed by your teacher. Set realistic goals for yourself each day and stick to them. Do your work regularly and don’t forget to check your work before attempting your assignments. Careful work habits will greatly increase your chances for success in FIN1010.

You will be required to communicate regularly with your teacher. Constant communication with your teacher lets him or her know how you are progressing and allows you to discuss concerns or issues that you may be having. Communication can happen in the form of e-mails, phone calls, or other methods—whatever suits you and your teacher best.

Enjoy the course as you learn how to take control of your financial future!
