The greater your understanding of something, the more likely you are to have a positive attitude about it. Throughout Mathematics 20-1, you were encouraged to explore mathematical ideas to develop your mathematical knowledge and skills. As you progressed through this course, you were encouraged to make connections between the concepts presented and what you already knew from your own personal experiences.

One of the underlying goals of this course was to help you develop a positive attitude towards mathematics that will help you when you encounter mathematics throughout your life. As you moved through Sequences and Series; Trigonometry; Quadratic Functions; Quadratic Equations and Inequalities; Radical Expressions and Equations; Rational Expressions and Equations; and Absolute Value and Reciprocal Functions, you saw that problems can be solved in different ways. In each module you showcased your understanding of the mathematical concepts in a project that highlighted your knowledge, skills, and individual strengths, and helped answer that age old question, “Why do I need to know this?”

Throughout this course you have been building a Course Glossary and a Formula Sheet. If you haven’t done so already, finalize your formula sheet and glossary. You should have had a discussion with your teacher at the start of this course about whether these documents will be handed in for marking and, if so, when and how you should submit them. If you are unsure, contact your teacher now. A full description of the requirements for the Course Glossary and the Formula sheet can be found in the course introduction.

Contact your teacher to discuss your final evaluation for this course.

Congratulations! You have now completed Mathematics 20-1!
