In other modules in this course, you will learn how math is essential to various careers and trades. But what if you don’t end up in one of those careers? Will math apply to your everyday life? Yes! In North American society most people end up buying or leasing a vehicle at some point in their lives, and you need math to analyze your options. You may also decide to start up a small business. You will need math to help you make decisions to keep your financial house in order.

In Module 2, you will learn about the math involved in buying or leasing a vehicle in the context of operating a small business. You will also explore a fun side of math—puzzles and number games.

You will work to answer the module question: How can mathematics be used to build strategies for success in games or finance?

You will explore the lessons and questions in the table.
