Project 3: Final Project

Alphanumeric Keypad and Numeric Keypad

project

Your final project consists of six timed keyboarding trials. They will be of various lengths. The purpose of this project is to prepare you for your final test. These timed trials are interactive and are formatted the same as your final test. They will calculate your words per minute, keys per minute and your accuracy so you are able to assess your readiness for the final test. If you complete the project successfully (meeting the speed outcomes), you will be ready for the Final Test.

Project Assessment(s)

Skill Level

Your goal will be to achieve 30–50 wpm on the alphanumeric keypad and 100–150 kpm on the numeric keypad with no more than one uncorrected error on each.

Estimated Required Time

Your timed trials for the alphanumeric keypad will be two and three minutes in length. For the numeric keypad, each trial will last one minute.

Time to Work

Complete the following timed trials. Your time will be scored after you take each timed trial. Make sure you document your scores. Upon successful achievement of speed and accuracy, you will be ready to attempt the final test. Discuss your readiness with your teacher.
