How much sleep do you get each night? Do you wake up feeling ready to take on the day?

In order to function at their best, most teens need about nine hours and fifteen minutes of sleep each night.

The following are some of the effects of chronic sleep deprivation:

  • Difficulty concentrating and learning
  • Poor decision making
  • Moodiness (sadness and aggressiveness)
  • Depression
  • Inability to combat illnesses

How to Sleep Better

  • Keep electronics out of your room
  • Exercise
  • Avoid alcohol and drugs
  • Build a sleep routine and stick with it
