GET HAPPY

We all have challenging times in our lives and adolescence is no exception. In fact for a great deal of people, adolescence is/was the most challenging period in their lives.

During adolescence, our hormones are in overdrive. Combine these hormonal changes with the immense pressure to do well in school and at extra-curricular activities, finding and maintaining an after-school job, lacking sleep, and constantly trying to fit in and many are going to struggle with their emotional health.

Some ways that you can take charge of your emotional wellness are:

  • Eating healthy
  • Exercising
  • Getting a proper night's sleep
  • Taking time to relax and have fun with your friends
  • Avoiding alcohol and drugs
  • Talking about your feelings and emotions with your family and friends
