Completion requirements
UNIT 3

IN THIS UNIT, YOU WILL PREPARE FOR THE WORLD OF WORK.
In some cases, you may have already had a job, or you are currently employed. Working offers many benefits to your personal development and the pursuit of your personal goals. It allows you to contribute your strengths meaningfully to a business or an organization.
Skills that you develop while working in your teens can be transferrable to your career plans in the future. Not only will you develop skills, but you can also expand your network. Positive work relationships can lead to references for future work, and possibly even in-roads to new opportunities.
Regardless of your current work experience, this unit will provide you with insight as you explore the following sections:
-
My Personality, Strengths, and Interests
-
Earn While You Learn and Work
-
Teenage 'Treps - Working Outside the Box
-
Searching for a Job
-
Applying for a Job
-
Interview Skills
-
Responsibilities of Employees and Employers
In this unit, you will learn how to complete a job application, a cover letter, and a resumΓ© (or revise the current one you already have), and how to prepare for a job interview. This work may be added to your personal E-Portfolio for future use. Please be aware that all parts of the unit's assignment are required before it will be assessed.
