Los Mandatos

Did you learn how to play dominoes? It sounds like fun! The entire “how to” was written informally using the Imperative (command) form of the verbs. The different forms of the commands can get a bit confusing, but don't worry, we have a great trick to help you understand.

Verb endings for informal commands

Informal Commands

Affirmative Negative
-ar verbs -a -es
-er/-ir verbs -e -as

One other thing to remember with the informal is to add the letter –s (you'll hear about the spilled salsa in the story below) to the negatives.
