Unit 3 Section 3: Food for Life

What did you eat today?  Did you have a good breakfast, lunch, or supper?  Balanced, nutritious meals are important to your health.  Your diet may be completely different than somebody else's because of special needs, activity level, and personal choices.

To begin this section, read the introduction on page 196 of your textbook.

Then, read What You Will Learn, Why it is Important, and Skills You Will Use on page 197.

You need to work on the Science Log activity on page 196 now.  The log takes one day to complete, so print it for yourself and add the foods you eat and the number of servings or amount of each food.  The information will be used in the last assignment question for this section.  Do not fill in calories at this time.  If you can remember what you ate so far today, you can enter that information.  If you cannot remember, start your log tomorrow morning.  An example is given, a banana; change it to show what you ate.
