Effective displays sell products and/or services. Think about a product or service to which you were attracted because of how well it was displayed. This may have been in a store, on television, on the Internet, etc.

When a product is displayed effectively, it catches the customer's eye quickly. Tim Pelcone states, "Product features need to be prominently advertised and identify specifically how it will meet consumer's needs. If no
need currently exists, it is the display's job to invent it."
Displays should be built with sensory appeal – the more senses the display appeals to the better. Use creativity and imagination to entice people to stop and look, feel, touch, hear, smell, and interact. The extent of options depends on the product or service.
