Creatine

Myth #1: Creatine is only for bodybuilders.

Myth #2:  Creatine is a steroid.

Creatine supplements are used by athletes, wrestlers, bodybuilders, sprinters, and others who wish to gain muscle mass and power.  Creatine supplements can increase the amount of high-energy creatine phosphate stored in the muscles and may improve athletic performance and lead to a gain in muscle mass.

Taking creating alone will not result in gaining muscle mass.  An athlete must put in the time in the weight room and the individual athlete must be a responder to creatine.  Not all athlete's bodies react the same way to creatine.  If you try using creatine and notice an increase in weight, the supplement is working; if you do not gain weight, then you are not a responder, and it is unlikely that this product will work for you.

Creatine is a natural substance found normally in meat and fish, but the doses in the supplements are much higher.  Creatine is not a steroid and is not on the banned list of drugs for Olympic sports.  Creatine appears not to be harmful to health.
