In Unit 4, you explored the following question:

The economic systems of Canada and the United States are complex. As you worked through this unit, you have built on your understanding of how the economic systems impact your quality of life and consumer decision-making.
By completing this unit, you have learned the fundamentals of these economies by learning about scarcity, government involvement, impact of labour unions, and consumerism. All these components influence your quality of life, your identity, and the consumer decisions you make.
Consumerism is an important economic theory that states that the more people purchase, the better the economy prospers.
You will demonstrate your understanding of the concepts examined by completing the Unit 4 Quiz.
In Unit 5, you will continue the second unit in Social Studies 9: Economic Systems in Canada and the United States. You will examine how government and the economy influence each other and what that means to you.
