Science 10

Course Introduction

Assignment Downloads

This course has a few different types of assignments.

Each unit contains 3 sections.  Each section contains 1 formative assignment (found at the end of the first lesson) and 1 section assignment found at the end of the section.  Each unit contains 1 unit project found at the end of the unit, and there are review assignments found just before your midterm and final exams.

We encourage you to work through the section assignments one lesson at a time to help solidify your knowledge. You will find that each page in these assignments contain questions from one lesson. Once you have completed one lesson worth of questions (or one page in the assignment), please go back to your course and work through the next lesson. It is important to move to the next page in your assignment before exiting as this is how you save your work. If you do not move to the next page, you will lose the answers you have completed.

Assignment Downloads

The section assignments in Units B and C have been split into an online part (Part A) and a print part (Part B). This is to allow you to complete and show your work for all calculations on paper. Please make sure you download all the Part B assignments here:

Your review assignments and exams will be completed on paper for the same reasons. Please download your review assignments here:

How to Submit your Print Assignments

To submit your print assignments, you will first need to scan the document and create a PDF file. If you have access to a scanner at your school, you can convert the document that way. If you do not have access to a scanner, there are many apps that allow you to convert pictures of each page into a PDF. Click here for instructions on how to use an app called TinyScanner that does just that.

Once you have your assignment as a PDF document, you are ready to submit! To do this you need to go to the assignment page in your course and upload the assignment by following the prompts. Click here for more detailed instructions on how to upload your assignment. Please note that once you have uploaded the assignment you still need to click on the submit button. The assignment will not be automatically submitted.

Feedback

After you have received your marked assignment back, no matter in which form it was submitted, or which assignment it was, you should review the feedback provided to learn from your mistakes. This ensures that you do not make the same mistakes on your next assignment, or on your exams.
