Lesson 15Activity 3:

Title Page and Bibliography

You are at the point where you are putting the final touches on your report! You can see by all the work you have been required to do that writing a report really does take some time.

The next time you are required to write a report, keep in mind the steps involved:

  1. brainstorming

  2. researching

  3. organizing the research

  4. writing the introduction, body, and conclusion

  5. proofreading and editing

  6. making a title page

  7. making a bibliography

Researching and writing a good report does not happen in a day; it is a much more involved process. Be proud of what you have accomplished so far!

The last two things you need to create to put the finishing touches on your report are a title page and bibliography.

A title page is just a formal way of identifying yourself, your topic, and your reader.

A bibliography is a list of all of the sources you have used in the process of researching your work. In general, a bibliography should include: the author(s) names, the title of the book where the information came from, the name and location of the publisher, and the date of the source.

The next time you need to write a bibliography, check out A Research Guide for Students.
