The icon in Figure 1 includes seven elements that can be used to explore what worldview is and how worldview forms.
In Lesson 3, you will study this icon and learn how it can help you determine information about worldviews, including your own.

Please save your work to a file on your desktop so you will have a copy to refer back to. - Click on one of the links provided to download the document.
- You will then be able to view the Worldview Icon worksheet.
- Examine the worldview icon and its elements. Ask yourself, “How can each of these elements contribute towards a worldview?”

Read the bottom half of page 4 and page 5 in your textbook. Study the elements of the worldview icon carefully.
- Your task is to present a Canadian worldview on the icon using the seven elements.
- Follow the instructions below.
- Think about your beliefs about the world.

Use your critical thinking skills to identify ideas that represent Canada in each element of the icon.
- You can use words, pictures, or drawings to represent what each element means to you in Canadian terms.
- Place these ideas, in whatever form, in the appropriate box in the document for each element of the icon.
- Submit your completed worldview icon on the next page.
