- Review the information in Chapter 1 about factors that influenced changes in medieval society that began during the Renaissance.
- Download and complete the chart.
- The chart identifies five factors that influenced change in Renaissance society.
You will identify the change(s) that took place as a result of each factor. - In the last column of the chart, you will describe the effect(s) on Renaissance society.

- From Chapter 1, choose six illustrations that you think express best the beliefs and attitudes of the people in the Middle Ages.
- Download and complete the chart.

List the illustrations using their caption numbers, such as Figure 1-6 or Figure 1-13.

Beside each caption number, explain what beliefs and attitudes are shown by the illustration.
- Explain reasons many of those beliefs began to change during the Renaissance.

- Make a recording or video of yourself as a person who lived during these times.
- You may use the website Vocaroo or a camera and video program.
- Choose your place in society. For example, you can be a king, a serf, or a journeyman butcher.
- Talk about what life is like for you and other members of society and how things are starting to change.
- Explain reasons you think things are changing.
- You may want to use an organizer such as the one provided to help you plan and organize your ideas.
Be sure your final product meets the requirements of the option you have chosen.
Remember to read the rubric for the option you have chosen so you know what is expected of you.
