Mexico Past and Present
In Chapter 11, you learned that life changed dramatically for the Aztec people after the conquest in 1519, and changes have continued into the present.
In this assessment, you will explain the changes in Mexico over time because of the Spanish conquest.
Choose one of the following two options:
Write a short composition (3 to 4 paragraphs) explaining the changes in Mexico over time because of the Spanish conquest.
In your response, you will do both of the following.

Discuss the three elements of worldview.
- society
- religion
- economy

Describe each element of worldview (identified above) in each of the following three time periods.
You will need to identify changes that occurred to worldview after the Spanish conquest and now in modern time. - before 1519 (before the Spanish conquest)
- after 1519 (when the Spanish reorganized everything)

now (in modern Mexico)
Provide specific details to demonstrate your understanding of how the Mexican worldview has changed over time.
You will need to perform some research to learn more about today’s Mexican worldview.
